I use the XION padding because it is flexible, and even though it’s soft it actually protects in the same way as a hard-shell protector.
Sometimes when I arrive on set the director, a cameraman or somebody else asks me: “Are you not going to wear any protection?” But then I’m already geared up with XION — they just can’t tell.
